Donald’s passions include helping clients create positive custom financial results by building relationships, listening, understanding, and then applying his diverse background of skills and experiences. These experiences include owning and operating small businesses, managing a cattle and hay farm, creating success with an array of financial solutions, and creating in 2008 a client-centric (before fiduciary became a marketing term) middle Tennessee-based financial planning firm. Donald’s skills in planning, organization and analytics were formed early in Military electronic test engineering at Texas Instruments. The sum of these experiences supports Donald’s ability to consult with individuals and business owners about many subjects to include assuring clients understand and value the balance needed between risk (asset protection) and investment growth.

Donald’s transition to Carlton Wealth is based on their unique, proven, and trusted solutions that help people build their lifestyle income in retirement.  Additionally, he helps corporations add employee benefits without adding expense and liability. Building trust has been a centerpiece of Donald’s approach and was recognized by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) where he has served for years on their board and advisory committees. Additionally, Donald volunteers and helps the BBB Integrity Foundation create funding by planning, performing, and serving as the MC for Songwriter Nights.

Like his approach to creating financial balance, Donald works to enjoy a healthy balance in his life as he can still operate a tractor, bale hay, write songs, perform with guitar, and voice for large events while spending quality time with his wife Lisa and a growing family.
